Fair Competition Tribunal

Establishment

The Fair Competition Tribunal (FCT) is a Government Institution under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, established under Section 84(1) of the Fair Competition Act, Chapter 285.

Function

Its primary role is to resolve disputes between consumers/users, investors/producers/traders, service providers, and the general public through an appeal mechanism—by receiving, hearing, and deciding appeal cases arising from decisions made by the Fair Competition Commission (FCC) and regulatory authorities such as EWURA, TCAA, LATRA, TCRA, and PURA. This institution is the highest decision-making body within the entire commercial competition and market regulation system, and it protects the Consumer.

Step 1: Prepare

Ensure you have a reliable internet connection and scan all your supporting documents into PDF format (max. file size: 25MB per document)

Step 2: Create an Account

For first-time users, click “Register” to create an account by choosing your user profile from the list. You will need a valid email and phone number.• Individual litigant: Single individual or any person with self-presentation to the case.• Legal Representative: State attorneys, advocates or any person entitled to appear before the Tribunal, including those admitted pro hac vice.

Step 3: Login

Enter your email and password to sign in to the portal. After successful login, the system takes you to the landing page called dashboard

Step 4: File Your Appeal or Application or Subsequent Documents

From the left navigation, you will find e filing sub module where you will file your Appeal or Application or Subsequent Document by going through the form wizard.
