The Fair Competition Tribunal (FCT) is a Government Institution under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, established under Section 84(1) of the Fair Competition Act, Chapter 285.
Its primary role is to resolve disputes between consumers/users, investors/producers/traders, service providers, and the general public through an appeal mechanism—by receiving, hearing, and deciding appeal cases arising from decisions made by the Fair Competition Commission (FCC) and regulatory authorities such as EWURA, TCAA, LATRA, TCRA, and PURA. This institution is the highest decision-making body within the entire commercial competition and market regulation system, and it protects the Consumer.
